Chelsea look to maintain 100% winning record at the Liberty Stadium

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea will be looking to make it four wins in a row, when they travel to Wales to face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Hosts’ Swansea have won one and lost two of their opening three fixtures but they did defeat the Blues, when the two sides met in April, courtesy of a Gylfi Sigurðsson goal.

Team news & predicted starting line-ups for Swansea City v Chelsea

This is a much-changed Swansea side from the one that surprised Premier League opponents when they first gained promotion. The Swans boasted the third best possession figures in their debut season in the top flight but that figure has been steadily on the decline, with the Welsh side only averaging 52% during the 2015/16 league campaign.

Antonio Conte strengthened his squad on deadline day, bringing in two defenders with Premier League experience. Fans’ favourite David Luiz resigned from PSG, while Marcos Alonso also joined the club after a successful spell in Serie A.

The latter can play as the left-sided defender in a 3-man defence, a formation Conte has often deployed in the past but he’s expected to stick with the 4-1-4-1 that has served him well against the Swans.

Swansea City fantasy player to watch

Fernando Llorente is a real handful in the air, so if Swansea are to get anything out of this one, he will have to win his fair share of duels against John Terry and Gary Cahill.

The 31 year old, who has scored 7 times for the Spanish national side, as yet to open his account for the Swans.

Swansea City team news

Francesco Guidolin should have a full squad to choose from, with Neil Taylor regaining full fitness, although reports suggest that new signing Borja Bastón may only be fit enough for a place on the bench.

Chelsea fantasy player to watch

Eden Hazard will be smarting after missing out on being named Premier League Player of the Month for August.

The Belgium winger has rediscovered the sparkling form that made him a ‘must-have’ fantasy pick two seasons ago and that could spell bad news for the Swans.

Chelsea team news

Kurt Zouma and Marco van Ginkel remain sidelined but changes are expected to be at a minimum and Antonio Conte may opt for the same XI that started in the 3-0 victory over Burnley.
