FPL Transfers for GW11
The quest for Fantasy Premier League domination is on
Wilfried Bony’s brace in the Monday Night Football was enough to ensure that Fantasy Football Portal’s FPL squad moved into the top 5,000 places for the first time this season, so the challenge now is to maintain the momentum.
It could be argued that we were a touch fortunate to pick up 90 points in GW10 though, having wasted our free transfer on Antonio Valencia, only for an arm injury to be revealed late in the week, ruling him out of the Man Utd vs Burnley clash. Luckily, Michael Keane stepped in off our bench and miraculously secured those priceless clean sheet bonus points, after the Clarets somehow survived an absolute onslaught at Old Trafford.
Arsenal tend to experience difficulties in November but it’s match-ups against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United that is concerning us the most. We have therefore decided to transfer out Alexis Sánchez, so that we can bring Sergio Agüero back into the squad. Mesut Özil does retain his place though but Romelu Lukaku and Étienne Capoue are the other makeweights in a triple transfer swoop.
The reliable Adam Lallana seems to be the key cog in a rejuvenated Liverpool machine and even though he won’t pick up as many points as Roberto Firmino or Philippe Coutinho he still looks good value for money.
However, one player likely to dominate FPL thinking this week is İlkay Gündoğan. Joe Allen has proved how dangerous an FPL player can be when deployed in a more advanced role and the former Borussia Dortmund star is ticking the same boxes.
There is an element of risk involved – will Pep Guardiola be prepared to start him for the 3rd time in 8 days with his injury record and will he continue to go with the 4-1-4-1 set-up that is making Gündoğan such an attacking threat?
At his price – it’s a risk worth taking!
