Fantasy Football Portal - DraftKings £40k Fantasy Contest

If you’re not familiar with the DraftKings fantasy football contests then you have come to the right place. Fantasy Football Portal have released a number of articles that, not only contain their soccer game rules, scoring system and how to play guide but also cover the finer points of DraftKings fantasy soccer strategy in detail. We strongly recommend that you take a look at these articles if you are intent on establishing yourself as one of the strongest fantasy Premier League managers, plying his trade on those DraftKings leaderboards.

This is a one-day contest (all the prize money will be distributed on the same day after the scores are finalised) and participants are required to select 8 players from 6 matches, which include the 5 matches that kick-off at 3pm UK time as well as the evening fixture. You are given a $50,000 budget and must select 1 goalkeeper, 2 defenders, 2 midfielders, 2 forwards and 1 ‘flex’ player who can occupy any outfield position. Your players will earn points based on DraftKings unique fantasy football scoring criteria.

Once team news becomes a bit clearer we’ll be giving you some selection pointers. Our Hotcard article will include our recommended selections and will be published closer to the start of the contest, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, feel free to check out our goal projections page for a breakdown of how difficult each fixture is perceived in Gameweek 1 of the 2016/17 English Premier League.

This is one of the biggest Premier League fantasy football contests to date so make sure you don’t miss out on your chance to grab a share of that £40,000 ($55,000). The winning entry will receive the first prize equivalent of $5,000 and prize money extends all the way down to the manager that finishes in 4,350th place. However, this contest is likely to fill up quickly as the field is capped at 16,100 entries so get those line-ups in as soon as possible.
