Tevez set to move up a gear

For two seasons Carlos Tevez was a Fantasy Premier League managers’ dream. After making the switch from the red half to the blue half of Manchester, the Argentinian striker hit 23 goals while chipping in with 7 assists then followed that up with another 20 goal haul in the subsequent season.

However, his status as a ‘must-have’ FPL pick turned out to be somewhat short-lived as the forward, with the El Apache nickname, went on strike, following a bust-up with Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini.

Tevez also racked up an impressive number of motoring offences during his time in Manchester and even went as far as to offer his £55k Porsche as a makeweight to get him out of community service, when he was sold to Juventus.

The man clearly likes his cars, so it will be fascinating to see what wheels he will be sporting in the near future, now that his move to Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua has been confirmed, for a reported £615,000 per week in wages.

Modern day footballers  are usually spotted driving some expensive motors and Tevez is no different, having a collection that includes an Audi R8, a Porsche Cayenne, a Hummer H3, a Range Rover and a Bentley Continental GT.
