Man On A Mission

Sánchez holds key to maintaining Arsene Wenger’s impressive records

Arsenal are attempting to qualify for the Champions League for the 20th successive season, a quite remarkable record. Arsene Wenger has guided them to a top-four finish in each of his 20 years in charge.

They have also finished above their North London rivals’ Spur  throughout this period. All these records are under threat.

With just 10 games remaining of the 2016/17 English Premier League season, the Gunners sit 7 points behind 4th placed Manchester City, 6th in the table.

Finishing below Spurs is almost unthinkable for Arsenal fans who enjoy so much to rub this stat in the faces of their rival fans that there is even a dedicated webpage counting the seconds to when it last occurred!

Luckily for Wenger, he has one player at his disposal that is truly a world class talent – Alexis Sánchez.

The Chilean international has been linked with a move to arch-rivals Chelsea in the summer and a lack of Champions League football at the Emirates next season could be the catalyst to make the deal go through.

A.Sanchez - Oulala

Oulala have taken a look at just how well the former Barcelona man has been performing this season and the data speaks for itself.

Sánchez often looks frustrated but he gives 100% every time he pulls on the Arsenal shirt and if the Gunners are to maintain Wenger’s catalogue of impressive records, it is their star man that is most likely to make it happen!
