A final throw of the dice

GW34 Fantasy Premier League selections

Paul Pogba put in a match winning performance in last Saturday’s Manchester derby and there might be more to come as Manchester United look to end the season in a flourish.

The Frenchman has missed a number of games through inury and suspension this season, while manager José Mourinho has also opted to leave him out of the side on other occasions after becoming frustrated with the performances of his star asset.

However, he is still averaging 5.6 Fantasy Premier League points per match and a home game with West Brom ahead of a trip to Bournemouth in this double gameweek offers Pogba the chance to build on this statistic.

A couple of good performances should put him spot on for United’s season-defining game, next weekend’s FA Cup semi-final with Spurs.

Pogba is our GW34 free transfer with Raheem Sterling being the man to make way.

Gameweek 34 - FPL Line-Up

We have, however, resisted the temptation to use the Triple Captain ‘chip’ this week, meaning that the Bench Boost is active.

There were a number of strong candidates for the Triple Captaincy but we couldn’t trust Mourinho’s team selection with that FA Cup game on the horizon, while goal-hungry Harry Kane has better fixtures on paper in the final double gameweek of the season (GW37).

Having already used our ‘free hit’ chip, we know that we will need to get some points on the board this week, since we are almost certain to send out a depleted line-up in the upcoming blank gameweeek.

It feels like a final throw of the dice but we’re banking on Pogba hitting the target, so the midfielder, that moved back to United for £89m in August 2016, wears our GW34 armband!
