Football nostalgia – a memorable 10-goal thriller
Leicester City, face Tottenham tonight in their FA Cup 3rd round replay at the King Power Stadium, following an exciting 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane 10 days ago.

The first match ever played between Leicester and Spurs was way back on 10th January 1914, 102 years ago. The Foxes were then named ‘Leicester Fosse’. The match coincidentally also came in the FA Cup. However, this time it was in the competition’s 1st round.
Tottenham netted five goals, scored by winger Herbert Middlemiss, forwards James Cantrell and William Minter netted one each, while inside left Bert Bliss hit a brace.
Leicester matched Spurs, netting five themselves. The goals came from left-back Samuel Currie, forward Francis Mortimer, with inside right Claude Stoodley scoring a hat-trick.
The replay five days later saw Spurs come out 2-0 winners to progress to the 2nd round.
