GW25 highlights include champions’ Leicester City in danger of entering the drop zone

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri may have had the dreaded vote of confidence but the Foxes could easily find themselves in the relegation zone if Gameweek 25 results go against them. The East Midlands club needed extra time to see off Derby County and book their place in the 5th round of the FA Cup but they face a much more important fixture at the weekend, when they travel to the Liberty Stadium to play Swansea City.

A defeat in Wales and wins for either Hull City, Sunderland or Crystal Palace would see the reigning champions drop into the relegation zone. The Swans, who have climbed out of the drop zone, will be looking to maintain the momentum they have picked up since Paul Clement took charge and the Gameweek 25  goal projections would suggest that they can continue this progress.

Sunderland have had their fair share of injury problems this season but they did their own survival chances no harm in GW24, when they recorded an emphatic 4-0 win at Crystal Palace and will be looking to build on that, when they entertain Southampton, another team that is currently beset with a lengthy injury list, on Saturday.

Arsenal have been pencilled in with the highest goal expectancy figure and will be looking to bounce back from successive defeats against Watford and Chelsea but visitors’ Hull City have kept back-to-back clean sheets against Manchester United and Liverpool, so the Gunners’ faithful could be in for another anxious afternoon. However, the latest English Premier League match betting odds suggest that Arsenal will get the job done.

Manchester United entertain Watford at Old Trafford and the Red Devils look to have the best chance of registering a clean sheet on paper. Now where have we heard that before about a José Mourinho team?

Bournemouth, fresh from their 9-goal thriller at Goodison Park, complete the GW25 action when they host Manchester City in the Monday Night Football and the goals are once again expected to flow.
