Multi-lingual Lukaku Becoming ‘Unplayable’

Earlier this week, we looked at the improvement Everton have shown since the arrival of new manager Ronald Koeman and midfield lynchpin Idrissa Gueye, suggesting that Romelu Lukaku would be the player most likely to benefit from a fantasy football manager’s perspective.

We pinpointed the significance of Everton’s shots on goal supremacy figure but that is not the only team statistic that is flourishing since Roberto Martínez was replaced, with the Toffees also exercising better control of matches, achieving an average of ball possession figure of 55% so far this season.

All of these small improvements seem to be paying off for Lukaku and Oulala have examined his personal stats to reveal that he is performing better than at any other time in his career.

The Belgium striker, who, according to a recent study, speaks more languages than any other Premier League player and has really started to do his talking on the pitch, excelling in a number of  key areas.

Injuries are always a concern when assessing potential fantasy football picks but Lukaku got through the 2015/16 season relatively unscathed, starting 36 of Everton’s 38 league games.

He did miss 5 games in 2013/14 with a torn ankle ligament injury and 4 matches in 2014/15 with a thigh problem. He was also forced to sit-out Everton’s midweek League Cup loss to Norwich City with a minor toe injury. However, he is expected to be fit to face Bournemouth in Gameweek 6.

The term ‘unplayable’ has been bandied about regularly since Lukaku first burst onto the scene but now, more than ever, he is beginning to look the part.

Exciting times are predicted at Goodison Park with Romelu Lukaku expected to play a leading role.
