FPL Selections for Gameweek 5
Who makes our Fantasy Premier League line-up in GW5 ?
Seeing Etienne Capoue warming the bench with a 13 point haul was a bitter pill to swallow and only compounded by a late Hull City equaliser that deprived our Gameweek 4 line-up of some precious clean sheet bonus points.
It looked like more woe was to follow in the Monday Night Football when Ross Barkley got the hook at half-time but a second half hat-trick from Romelu Lukaku salvaged the week, with the Everton striker impressing enough to earn the Gameweek 5 captaincy arm-band.
Saints’ duo Fraser Forster and Ryan Bertrand come in for the Burnley pair that missed out on those clean sheets.
We’re concerned that Barkley may miss out on a starting spot this weekend, so have opted to transfer him out, with Dusan Tadic coming in and going straight into the line-up at the expense of Capoue, who will again have to settle for a place on the bench.
Arsenal could rack up any number of chances when they visit Hull City – hopefully Olivier Giroud will get enough game time to justify his inclusion, following his midweek dismissal against PSG in the Champions League.
Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace got back in the winners’ enclosure last week so we’re happy to stick with Christian Benteke and Andros Townsend in Gameweek 5.
