GW13 EPL Goal Projections
English Premier League fixture difficulty check for Gameweek 13
We predicted that Gameweek 12 would be a bit of a low-scoring affair and it didn’t disappoint with just 24 goals being scored across the 10 matches. However, we are expecting normal service to be resumed this weekend, with a number of teams having high goal projection figures, headed by Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool side.
The Reds are predicted to score almost 3 goals against the Black Cats, an exceptionally high figure by Premier League standards but perhaps it is worth pointing out that they drew a blank at St Mary’s Stadium last weekend without the influential Adam Lallana and that the England international is again expected to be missing in Gameweek 13.
Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United all appear to have favourable fixtures but a low-scoring affair is predicted at the KCOM Stadium, when Hull City entertain a West Bromwich Albion team that made a mockery of Tony Pulis’ reputation for dour football, by going on a goal frenzy against Burnley in the Monday Night Football.
Burnley themselves get the GW13 action under way when they host Manchester City but the bookmakers are not giving them much of a chance judging by the latest English Premier League betting odds:
The highlight of Gameweek 13 is undoubtedly Chelsea vs Tottenham Hotspur, the new league leaders against the only undefeated team in the division. Spurs, who crashed out of the 2016/17 Champions League on Tuesday night, have conceded fewer goals than any other side, while the Blues have kept 6 successive clean sheets so it might take something special to decide this one!
