Getting Started
Registering with Fanaments was simple. New users could create a free account before accessing the competition lobby, while existing players could log in directly.
The homepage also included a brief introduction explaining how the platform worked and the steps involved in entering contests.
Competition Lobby
Fanaments placed a strong emphasis on usability, with one of the cleanest competition lobbies among early daily fantasy football operators.
Managers could filter tournaments by:
- Sport.
- Game type (Fantasy or Pick’em).
- Contest type.
- Entry fee.
- Prize pool.
- Field size.
- Start time.
Additional sections included:

- Rules and FAQs.
- Leaders.
- My Tournaments.
Managers could also create their own private tournaments and customise contest settings before inviting other players.
Each tournament displayed useful information including fixtures, prize pools, entry fees, participant numbers and entry limits before managers joined.
Team Selection
Fanaments used a traditional salary-cap model, giving managers a budget of 100 million to assemble an 11-player squad.
Permitted formations required:
- 1 Goalkeeper.
- 3–5 Defenders.
- 3–5 Midfielders.
- 1–3 Forwards.
Managers also selected a captain who earned double fantasy points.
The player search tools allowed filtering by:
- Player name.
- Club.
- Position.
- Salary.
- Total fantasy points.
One particularly useful feature was the ability to sort players using numerous statistical categories, including recent form and defensive metrics, making research much easier before finalising a line-up.
Once the squad had been completed and a captain selected, managers simply confirmed their entry before the contest deadline.

Rules and Scoring
Fanaments awarded fantasy points based on a wide range of real-life player actions, with additional position-specific scoring categories helping to differentiate defenders, midfielders, forwards and goalkeepers.
Managers also benefited from:
- Captain double points.
- Live scoring.
- Comprehensive tiebreak procedures.
The Live Score Centre provided real-time updates, allowing managers to compare their team’s progress against the rest of the field throughout each contest.

Pick’em Contests
Alongside its fantasy football contests, Fanaments also offered Pick’em competitions.
Players predicted the outcome of selected fixtures, choosing:
- Home win.
- Draw.
- Away win.
Additional bonus points were available for correctly predicting the winning margin or the exact type of draw, while one selected fixture could be nominated as a double-points match.
Fanaments’ Legacy
Although Fanaments is no longer active, it demonstrated how fantasy football and prediction games could successfully coexist on the same platform. Its intuitive interface, excellent filtering tools and polished live scoring experience made it one of the more user-friendly fantasy operators of its era.
