Food For Thought

FA Cup semis featuring 4 of the Big 6 gives Fantasy Premier League managers plenty to think about

There is plenty for daily and seasonal fantasy football managers to ponder ahead of GW34 due to the fact that 4 of the Big 6 will be involved in the 2016/17 FA Cup semi-final ties being played on Saturday and Sunday.

This means that only 6 Premier League games will take place over the weekend but 3 sides will feature twice in a double gameweek as there is an additional game scheduled for Tuesday evening as well as 3 matches on Wednesday, while the Manchester derby takes place next Thursday.

West Bromwich Albion will not be involved in Premier League action at all in GW34 but Manchester United, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace each play twice.

It’s getting to that stage of the season where a number of sides will be battling for survival, others for those coveted European spots, while one or two may be thinking more of the upcoming summer break but the value of our projected goals forecast remains as important as ever.

With games coming thick and fast, fatigue is likely to become more of a factor and a number of managers have already begun to test the strength of their squads by rotating key players in recent weeks. More of the same can be expected this weekend, so daily fantasy managers should make full use of the late swap facility if it is available under their chosen playing format, while FPL managers should ensure that they are bang up to speed with all the latest developments before submitting their final line-ups.

GW34 could be pivotal to the outcome of a number of FPL mini-leagues so make sure you do your homework!
